N26, Europe’s leading mobile bank, had enjoyed considerable success opening in 17 markets. It came to Hotwire for help with its launch in the UK, a critical step in its growth phase as this was the first time N26 was entering a non-Euro market.
The competitive UK market is tough to crack, with challenger banks Revolut and Monzo already well established. As no fee banking is less of a differentiator in the UK than in other countries, Hotwire built a story around N26’s European success and its customer waiting list.
To maximise impact, we organised pre-briefings for N26’s CEO at our offices the week before the launch with Reuters, CNBC, Quartz, Business Insider, the Press Association and The Daily Telegraph.
We cut through the noise of a crowded market to generate great exposure for N26. The result was 174 pieces of launch coverage with a reach of close to 300 million readers.
